*By September 2023 at the latest, all state-funded, mainstream schools will be expected to provide a compulsory school week of at least 32.5 hours.

The school operates a Breakfast Club on the site which opens at 7:30am each morning. Places need to be booked via Arbor (online portal) with sessions charged at £5.00 per person.  This includes a wide range of breakfast from fruits, cereals, toast, bagels and cooked items including scrambled eggs, fried eggs and beans.

The school also has an After School Care facility.  This is provided by PT Childcare and operated in the school hall. Please visit www.ptchildcareclub.co.uk or ring 07790 607705 for more information. Children from Foundation Stage 1 to Year 6 are welcome at both facilities.

A morning break of 15minutes takes place between 10:15am and 11:00am each day for pupils in Year 2 to Year 6.  Playtimes are overseen by staff members and involve a wide range of outdoor activities.  For pupils in FS2 and Year 1, a flexible approach to break times is implemented with many aspects of the learning being carried out via 'play'.

Pupils in FS1, FS2, Years 1 and 2 are provided with a piece of fruit on a daily basis.  This is part of a government scheme.

Pupils in Key Stage 2 are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit or a healthy snack from home to eat during the morning break.

Nb. We are a 'NUT FREE ZONE' so please do not provide anything containing nuts.

The main gates at the front of school open at 8:35am with the main doors in to the classrooms opening at 8:40am.  Pupils do not need to arrive any earlier than this unless they are attending Breakfast Club.

Although we welcome regular contact with our parents, we do hope to encourage independence from our pupils.  With this in mind we do encourage parents to bring the Foundation Stage 2 and Key Stage 1 children to the gate areas and leave them in the charge of the member of staff on duty.  Key Stage 2 children should be able to come onto the school grounds unaccompanied. Our cloakrooms are very busy and we do aim to reduce congestion at the beginning and end of the day.

At the end of the school day, the teaching staff will accompany the children to the designated collection areas and will be available to speak with parents.
