Shine 2019

On Friday 24th May we held our annual Shine Final. This was our 13th Shine event and as always there was a fantastic atmosphere around school.

92 children auditioned for this years competition and we were extremely proud of each and every one of them. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself forward for events like this and we were overwhelmed with how many of our children did.

The school council had the very hard task of choosing just 10 finalist from the children who auditioned. They all commented on how talented the children were and how difficult the task of choosing was.

Once the finalist were decided we held a number of rehearsal sessions. This always creates a good feeling around school because you can hear the children when you are walking through the corridors.

The shine final was held in the afternoon before the half term break. The hall came alive with the entire school watching the performances. We even had special visits from Mrs Hardman our former School Business Manager, Mrs Baggaley a former teacher and Mr Shepard our former Headteacher.

After a very close count of votes it was announced that this years KS1's winner was Mason in 2SM and KS2's winner was Grace in 6TB.

All the children did a brilliant job and should be very proud of themselves.
